River Deep, Mountain High

Have you ever heard of the Law Of Polarity?

The Law Of Polarity states that everything has opposite poles. Good and bad. Hot and cold. Love and hate.

These opposites are not enemies, they are just two ends of the same spectrum, inseparable and constantly informing one another. You cannot know one without the other. Like light only makes sense because darkness exists. Like relief only exists because pressure came first. It’s very Yin and Yang coded.

What this law teaches us is something most of us resist when life feels heavy, and it goes a little something like this: Wherever you are right now on the spectrum, the opposite exists too. Not someday. Not in theory. Right here. Right now.

If you are in a painful chapter or season that feels unclear, that does not mean you are stuck there eternally. It simply means you are standing at one of the extremes, which automatically guarantees that the other extreme is also real, and available to you. You cannot experience depth without height. And you cannot rise without having been pulled down first. Everything works in perfect balance.

But this is where we get it wrong. We see pain as punishment. We think struggle means something has gone wrong. Yet pain is often the thing that activates us to sharpen our awareness, and shows us what we are no longer willing to tolerate. It literally pushes us movement. Like let's be so for real right now, how many of us would actually get up and make a change if it wasn't for discomfort kicking us in the butt? We would stay right where we are, even if it slowly drained us. But see, life moves in cycles. It always has, and always will. River deep, mountain high. Expansion, contraction. Loss, gain. Falling apart, coming together. And the mistake we make is believing the current moment is permanent when in reality, it never is.

All of these low point are not here to destroy us. They are here to introduce us to contrast and to show us that something far better is exists. That the opposite of what we are experiencing isn't just some far away fantasy, but a tangible reality we can all have access to if we were to just allow it.

Once you understand and integrate this, you will never look at life the same. You'll stop asking why is this happening to me and start asking what is this trying to teach me, show me, or prep me for. You'll stop seeing hardship as proof that you are unlucky or behind and start recognizing it as information. Direction. A nudge toward the other side of the spectrum.

Life is not happening to you. It is happening for you. Even when it doesn’t feel kind and even when it doesn't go your way. Especially then.

So if today feels heavy, constricting, painful, remember this. You are not stuck. You are simply standing at one end of the pole, and by law, the opposite exists. Relief exists. Joy exists. Ease exists. Expansion exists.

Abundance exists. Your job is not to panic. Your job is to move, to respond, to choose differently when the moment calls for it. Nothing stays river deep forever. And nothing stays mountain high either.

This is the law of polarity and learning to trust it is one of the most grounding things you can do.

I promise you, everything is perfect.
