This or That

If you want to be an attorney, but you love to sing, go to work during the day and hit the karaoke bars at night (yes, very Hannah Montana coded). And no, it doesn’t make you unserious, confused, or behind. It makes you human.

Somewhere along the way, we were taught that choosing one path meant abandoning all the others. That being “focused” required cutting parts of ourselves off. As if passion and practicality cannot coexist. As if life only allows one version of you at a time.

But real life doesn’t work like that. You are allowed to be multidimensional. You are allowed to build a career and explore what lights you up. You are allowed to clock in, pay your bills, and still chase joy after hours. One does not cancel the other.

Feeling lost doesn’t mean you don’t know who you are. It often means you know there’s more to you than what you’re currently living. And the solution isn’t waiting for the perfect answer, it’s making a choice that keeps you moving, even if it’s imperfect. Because clarity doesn’t come from thinking. It comes from doing.

And sometimes, the most powerful decision you can make is refusing to shrink yourself into just one lane when you were never meant to be one thing.
